Today my first born, my baby turns eight. WOW eight! It seem like just yesterday he was an itty bitty baby. Every once in a while I catch a peak of his baby face and expression. I wonder how long even that will last. I miss that baby. I love the boy who has taken his place. I worry about this boy. I worry not everyone will like him or they will be mean to him. I worry I am over protective and spoil him. But no one could love him more then me and I 100% know he knows that.
His party yesterday (a space rocket party) was so much fun! And today we went to a lazar tag place and that was fun too.
Well we made it!!! Today was JM’s party and everyone is so sleepy. The party was a success. Too tired to write about it tonight because after the party my super sweet father watched the kiddos so my super sweet husband could take me out to dinner to my favorite place… The Melting Pot. So now that it is 11pm I am beyond ready for bed. Party details to follow tomorrow. Here is a sneak peak:

Today MD is going on a field trip with school. Sadly I have to baby-sit so I can not go. This is the first time I have not been able to attend something like this. It is a sad glance into the future when I go back to work. I hate that my time as a stay at home mom is almost over. I can hardly believe at time both my kids are in school. It makes me sad this time in my life is coming to an end. I know there are new adventures to be had but it still makes me sad. I miss my babies. I am glad my dad is able to go on the field trip today. MD was very nervous about going alone.
Today was MD’s Enchanted Fairy Garden party. It went very smooth! My friend did awesome face painting and her teenage daughter was a fairy for me. The girls came and received a tutu, halo, wings and a wand. Then had their face painted and did fairy coloring sheets and foam fairy stickies. They painted a fairy house (birdhouse) and made a fairy to live in it. Then they bounced their guts out. The cake was amazing and we had matching toadstool cupcakes. The girls left with a pot with a variety of fairy items and a live baby tree to grow at home. (I joined http://www.arborday.org and they sent me ten free trees).
It was very stress free and I think everyone had a good time. I am glad it is behind us though.
Somewhere on this blog (and I have spent about an hour looking for the post with no luck) I posted this exact picture. Wishing I could be artsy enough to try it. Well I finally tried it. It may not have come out as nice but I think mine looks pretty darn good. It was a center piece for the family dinner party we had at the house tonight for the kid’s birthday party. The party was a success! Just the right amount of food, the house looked very clean and the children were very well behaved. All in all huge success!!! I hope MD’s kid party goes as smooth tomorrow!
